The app provides tools for interacting with project Issues and Pull Requests. Users can browse their latest notifications to stay informed about project activity. Within Issues and Pull Requests, it’s possible to read content, react to discussions, and reply to comments. For organizational purposes, Issues can be managed by applying labels, assigning them to team members, and integrating them into projects. The app also supports the review and merging of Pull Requests, facilitating the integration of new code into a project’s main branch.

Code and File Browsing

Users can browse project files and code directly within the app. This capability allows for quick inspection of repository contents, which can be useful for reviewing specific sections of code or understanding file structures without needing to clone the entire repository or access a desktop environment.

Enhanced Collaboration with Copilot

A recent update introduced a redesigned Copilot experience within GitHub Mobile. This enhancement combines chat and code interactions into a single Copilot tab. Users with paid Copilot plans, subject to their organization’s policies, can run secure, isolated cloud sessions and resume them later without needing a physical computer. The updated Copilot also supports adding context with voice, images, and files, and allows users to continue their sessions and pins seamlessly across web and desktop platforms. Slash commands are now available for use in Copilot chats. Copilot Free users can still utilize Copilot Chat functionalities.
